- Dec 12, 2004 -

The surf went down a bit, actually quite a bit today, so did some family time, in Carlsbad, with my mom and her husband, Cal.

The tide was a negative one foot, plus this afternoon, so I waited until almost 3:00 PM to surf -

But, before I visited the LJ Reefs, I just had to get a good laugh, so I went to the Seal Crap Mosh Pit to check out my favorite Seal Nazi -

[The Harbor Seals are not Nazis - please don't get me wrong - I think the seals are more Communist than Nazi]

The Maginot Line the Seal Nazis have built now has been widened, and it is now bordered by some sort of super highway -

Anyway, there were not enough people at The Arena to make it [seal protection] exciting for the Nazi or for me, so I kept going south.

The kids were dominating Point Robertson, so I caught one wave there, then paddled over to Centers, one wave there, and then over to Fin Breaker Reef, and stayed out until almost dark - not a bad way to START the week!

By the way, if anyone finds a Fuji Underwater Disposable Camera around Wind**Sea, please contact me.

I lost the camera on Saturday, when I got caught inside between Point Robertson and Centers - right about here.

The camera got blow'd off my neck, and there were some great - at least, in my opinion great - photos captured on film.
