Waves, Winds, and an OB Surfer Visits Wind**Sea

- A Stranger in a Strange Land?


I've been going to my office at about 4:00 am, in an attempt to keep upOB visits LJ

- so -

I try to leave by about 3:30 pm for a round of evening surfing -

Today, I managed to keep the schedule, and I was really looking forward to some
Wind**Sea waves - waves that were improved by a Santa Ana condition.

Apparently the weather heads had called for some large waves, so, as usual, the miserable available parking was worsened by all the lookers -

- so -
by the time I found a parking place [Denny's Parking Lot, El Cajon] I wasn't too happy with the start of my surf time -

To make matters worse, there was a new surf photo guy on the beach - one of those long lensers - here he is, in full disguise -

You gotta figger, more Photo Eddies, more surfers, more publicity for the very secret spot - Wind**Sea.

Just what we need - more idiots in the water - and a Photo Eddie gang like the bunch at Lowers Lefts.

Anyway, the new Photo Eddie's name is OB Surfer, or more appropriately, OB Sufferer -

Actually, not a bad guy, and he did take some great photos - [none of me, of course]

OB wrote a piece about his day at Wind**Sea, and I cribbed it, and added the piece to my list of "Characters."

Thanks OB, just what I needed - more wonderful publicity!
