BA's Notes: In my opinion, this could have, easily, become a very serious predicament for the rescuees.
Two young girls on body boards, no fins, swimming ability unknown.
They launched at the sand, just south of Rockpile and were headed towards LP.
Ben pulled them out and made it safely back south of Rockpile. If the girls had been allowed to paddle about 50 yards south, they would have entered the LP surf zone.
From that point, it would have been extremely difficult to make it back to the sand south of Rockpile. The only recourse may have been to come in at LP - and the surf was pretty big that day - I'm glad I wasn't the rescuer!
