The 2005 Edition of The Bill Andrews Electronic Fish Wrapper Is Still Going?

By the way, I make another cameo in the video clip featured on: Wind**Sea Beach dot com

- And -

I just landed a big shot role on: Sea Level Pressure and, after more than 50 years of La Jolla surfing humiliation and embarrassment, I've finally made it -

- you may now refer to me, instead of dick wad, a** hole, etc., as: "BA, Your Icon-ness" or maybe just BA.con, err, .com.

- AND -

Speaking of ME, here's a photo of ME, deep in the pit at Leopard Shark Point, Alabama.

By the way - I tried to get a sequence of Jack Lonsberry [sp?] as he went from his stomach to his knees and then standing, but naturally I screwed the pooch - the only semi-focused photo is of Jack getting pounded , but so what, how many of YOU kooks will be surfing into your late 70's and still be capable of taking a Wind**Sea pounding?? While I'm on the subject of history, I may as well throw-out this bomb:

When I was learning to surf in the late 1950's there was a process, and I know I've spewed crap about this before, but pa-too-ee, it was actually pretty simple:

THEN - Swimming ---> body surfing ---> mat surfing ---> surfboard surfing

Hold on to your board, look before you take off, take it on the head paddling out in order to allow the guy riding a wave to get the best ride possible, and DON'T learn to surf at Wind**Sea!

Simple rules, but violations of The Rules meant instant retribution! NOW [about 50 years later] Welcome to the wonderful world of surfing - come on in - you're ALL invited! Anyway, surfing Wind**Sea has gotten to be even more fun, 'cause the kooks and the boogers are adding to the excitement!

No longer does one ride the wave as it should be ridden, one must ride the wave as the obstacle in the water dictate: E-Rock avoids Booger Bailer

E-Rock avoids Booger Uno

D-How had to stall [earlier, during this ride] in order to avoid Boogers Dos These Boogers just don't get it - if the surfers at Wind**Sea weren't as skilled as they are, the Booger carnage would be comical, err, astronomical.

Speaking of carnage: Daddy goes surfing in The Arena and his kid sez to mommy - " Look mommy , daddy's gonna ride a big one!"

Daddy exhibits a great amount of courage as he pulls into a whomp macker

Daddy shows he's got No Fear !

Daddy displays perfect Face Plant Form

Where's my daddy???

My daddy's a magician, he took out one board, now he's got two

Judging by the emails I get, with most of them [the emails] calling me a kook, whole ass, and a bunch of unprintables, the audience who is reading this crapola, and the audience for whom this crapola was aimed, are as different as night and day.

- SO -

This question is aimed at my unintended audience:

Why in the h*ll would you pick the stretch between Point Mowry and Moids as a place to learn how to surf?

Maybe you oughta learn how to park, first?

Then you oughta learn some respect - by bowing to real locals.

I watch you idiots run-over each other, get pounded into Board Breaker , humbled at Flat Rock and Cobra Head Rocks, get stuck in the rip at Turtles or Robertson's, pitched on to the ledge at The Lounge, break your neck at Tommy Wolfe is a Dork Reef,  etc.

You've been lucky the last couple of weeks, 'cause the surf hasn't been very good - but if and when it does get good - I just hope [for your safety and the safety of others] that you pick other spots to complete your course[s] in idiocy!
