The 2005 Edition of The Bill Andrews Electronic Fish Wrapper Is Still Going?
I love this little guy - and you're right - he does look a bit like Doctor Markus - The Pride of the Alps -
No, he's not the Pride of the Yankees, Markus is from Swissland - wherever that is - "Hey BA, what in the h*ll is an Alp?"
01 June 2005 -
I can't take much more of this surfing - every day it's the same darn thing:
Surf was good again this morning at Borrego Springs - the locals were shredding, as usual, and even the refugee from the NBA, seven foot tall Larry Crow, caught some lefts at Archie's Place - Crow had to share some of the lefts with Mario, but I didn't see any punches thrown.
Jill Trotter practiced her short leash fly aways, the Swiss continue to invade the area, Pirate Pete grabbed some bombs, and naturally, the finest surf babe in SoCal, Jenn, made an appearance, accompanied by her surf slave, Tommy Boy Matera.
I didn't have time to surf in the am, but I did get some pm stuff at Kob's and the Gerber Box Baby.
Before I went out at Kob's, I witnessed an attempted rescue of a Harbor Seal.
The stupid hunk of shark bait had gotten wedged in a tide pool at Kob's. The rescue failed and the seal was devoured by some hungry flying rats - the seal skin was salvaged by the Ugg Boot Gang...and I'm sure the Harbor Seal boots will look really cool!
The waves were good, and I pray that some day I'll be able to get the sight of the struggling seal out of my mind.
