Guess what - naw you'll never guess -

I was actually invited to something other than a visit with the IRS or the District Attorney -

Well, I guess I was indirectly invited - but what the heck - I still showed-up in San Clemente this afternoon.

I joined a group of guys that I used to surf with - years ago at The Shores - and we received a tour of the
Surfing Heritage Foundation

I had no idea how cool this place was - but if you love surfing, and it's history, you gotta take The Tour -

I'm not sure how the whole thing works - but please go to their web site and arrange a tour - on one condition - Dick Metz has got to give it [The Tour] to you -

I write more stuff about it [The Foundation] later today -

I took a bunch of photos - and - of course - as usual - 99.9% sucked - these are the pick[s] of the litter -

All of the photos also have a yellow tint - so put on your Blue Blockers - maybe the photos will look better?

Besides the great company, including Pez, Jeff Divine, and the La Jolla crowd, my favorite items [on display] were:

1. A listing of The HB Surf Club and HB Pier Crew members.

2. An early '50s Simmons Twin Fin - I wasn't allowed to touch the boards, so I only was able to photo one of the fins - but you get the idea - [the fin is on the balsa board, between the yellow and red boards]
