08 Sept 2007 WHSA's Tribute to Fat Wally Robinson
This is the page that I will continue to update with photos, words, comments, etc.

BA's Notes - I edited Wally's obituary a bit to put it into HTML Code -

Walter "Wally" Robinson

Walter Ralph Robinson was born October 26, 1937 in San Diego and passed away July 10, 2007 at a hospital in Houston, TX.

Known as "Fat Wally" while growing up in La Jolla, he became a well known surfing figure at Windansea.

He eventually found his way to Mountain View, Arkansas where he built a home and raised his family.

He is survived by his children: Marek Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Heidi Robinson, Heather Robinson, and Sean Robinson; grandchildren: Stella Robinson and Zoe Robinson; brothers and sisters: Harlan Robinson, Nancy Hopple, Fred Laird, and Kathi Rogers, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Wally will be forever remembered by his family, friends and the people he touched as a caring man and a far out guy. Following cremation, he will be returned to his beloved waters of Southern California and hills of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas.

Friends are welcome to join in a celebration of Wally during a paddle out at WindanSea Beach, La Jolla CA on Sept 8, 2007

A Luau and paddle-out will be hosted by the Windansea Historical Surfriding Association.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wally may be made to the WHSA, 621 Carla Way, La Jolla, CA 92037.
