1954 - My mother told me to NEVER run in the streets of La Jolla
1974 - I told my son to NEVER run in the streets of La Jolla
2009 - I guess it's OKAY to run in the streets of La Jolla, at dawn, if you use your stroller as a shield

1961 - Got my driver's license - my parents told me if they EVER found my car parked badly in La Jolla, I'd lose my license -
2009 - I guess if you drive a Beemer, it's OKAY to park in a red zone, on a blind curve -
