As I struggled in today - just glad to be alive - I was telling Scotty that whatever surfing incidents which I capture on film and publish, it's that I'm only re-living my personal experiences via others' misery - then I fell on my ass as I backed up into the Fire Coral Reef - Glad Scotty did not have a camera - whew!

My Hawaiian friend, Neal Miyake, visited The Shores today and I begged him to take a few water photos with my point and shoot Canon - even though, years ago, Neal had gone many light years beyond point and shoot.

Neal is a world famous action sports photojournalist - and the water photos of surfing he takes are breathtaking - please take a look at his website!

Neal took a photo of me as I breathlessly paddled over the lip of the largest wave I've ever seen:

Please bear in mind Neal was is the water, wearing a wetsuit - not exactly Hawaiian water wear - with a surfboard strapped to his leg - and he still managed to take this low light photo of a White House Right:
