September 19, 2004 - Wind**Sea Rescues and Change of Season on Saturday,
Shores Today - No Change


I missed a week of surf, last week, when we were in North Carolina.

But - I did get Wind**Sea pretty good yesterday - and as every year - the first north swell of the fall / winter season, grabs the sand and takes it to The Rock.

Over the Labor Day weekend - the sand was as high as the floor of the shack - yesterday, the drop-off was way overhead.

A bit crowded in the line-up yesterday, too, and I got my usual welcome when I visited Rat Land.

I participated in a couple of rescues, too:

Babes, Boogers, and Rip-Tides just don't seem to mix well - luckily, Dale [an ex-Wind**Sea Life Guard] was the first one in the water to help the Boogering Babes -

Right after the Dale and BA Booger Rescue, was the Drunk Teenager Rescue -

Dale didn't participate in this one, so it was up to Photo Boy BA to assist the life guards.

Anyway, all survived to Booger and Booze-It on another day!

Plus, plus - The Shores was good this morning!

I was hoping the South Enders would demonstrate their knowledge of The Rules, but none of them could make it outside!
