BA's Starting Out On Some Sort of Knowledge Quest -
Plus The Shores Was Schmokin'

"BA - Don't you ever get tired of trying to figger surf stuff out - what are you, some sort of masochistic?"

It ain't just ain't about surf stuff - I guess maybe I'm just trying to understand people in general, and specifically, those who are in my world.

BA's World is made-up primarily of males [of all types] with whom I surf, males [mainly engineers] with whom I work, and 3 adult sons.

My experience(s) with women have been a blend of a little buena; and a little, not so buena, [plus I don't think I'll live long enough to figger 'em out - EVER].

"Jeeze, BA, are you turning into a Surfin' Dr. Phil?
Maybe you oughta hang around Black's a little more, with the rest of those wienie waggers!"

Anyway - yesterday and today the surf was outstanding at The Shores - well, yesterday wasn't outstanding, in fact it was just okay before the hurricane started blowing it [the surf] out.

But -

DJ and I did get good waves yesterday - the faces of the waves were pretty smooth - and this morning - early - the waves really were good - well overhead, too -

Monday 9/20/04

Since we haven't had much surf at The Shores this fall, I expected the "locals" to at least paddle-out.

After all, they have been crying about the lack of surf this summer - of course - since they never leave The Shores Parking Lot for surf, they miss ALL the waves at the LJ Reefs.

[BA's mean and disparaging definition of most of The Shores Locals: They park in the front row, north end of Shores Lot, and at one time may have been an active surfer, or for the newer members, they would rather talk surf than actually do it (surf)]

The rips were pretty serious, at there was a fairly steady north to south current.

Question:  How many of them actually paddled-out?

Answer:  Less than 5.

There were more Wind**Sea locals out than Front Row Locals -

I'm gonna find out why - that's my quest - maybe -
